Final 2023-24 New York State Budget passed
The governor and legislators agreed this week on a final 2023-24 New York State Budget. Many of CSEA’s top priorities were included in the final budget, including new policies and programs to help increase hiring in state and local governments, full funding of state agencies and additional monies to local governments,

The New York State AFL-CIO is sponsoring Union Strong events with discounted tickets to New York Yankees and New York Mets games! Tickets for Union Strong Weekend at the New York Yankees and Union Strong Night at the New York Mets are on sale now! Discounted tickets are available for union members and their families/friends, and they come with a free t-shirt. Come enjoy a game with your union family!

CSEA Long Island Region 1 is accepting applications for its Send a Kid to Camp Scholarship.
Requirements Needed for Application:

Must be a child or grandchild of a CSEA member

Must include receipt of paid camp enrollment per child

Child must be 12 years old or younger
Applications must be completed in full and returned by Friday, July 14, 2023

CSEA statewide scholarships are available
CSEA is accepting applications for our statewide college scholarships, which are open to eligible dependents of union members. Our union will award 18 Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarships (three in each region). Pearl Insurance and MetLife each sponsor a one-time award. The application deadline is April 15, 2019.
